See, Kindles are kinda sorta REALLY delicate, and they pretty much need something to protect them. And most of the decent holders I found were around $30-50.
SO. I decided to make my own!
I used this instructable and made a few little adjustments.

Looks like a normal book, right? Right?!

It ain't!

Sharon Creech was my favorite author when I was a kid. I still have a real copy of this book somewhere.

Some random-ass pictures of the process.

It was super easy to make. I found a copy of the book at a thrift store for two dollars, and I already had some of the supplies on hand.
Total cost of purchased supplies, not including the stuff I already had = $7.
Alterations to the original tutorial: I used more hot glue than spray adhesive, added a layer of padding between the fabric and paperboard, adjusted the placement of the straps, and added the button/loop system as a latch. I also made a few mistakes and made adjustments to cover them a bit.
It didn't come out quite as well as it could have, but if I ever make another one I think it'll be better. But overall, I'm very pleased!
