Writing and bleh

I am in a dilemma regarding what to work on next. I like getting input from other people, so if you have any suggestions I would love you for it.

First off, there's fanfiction. I have a kink meme fill that I left a while ago and really want to pick up again. There's another fill that I started writing and haven't posted yet. I'm also working on a non-kink meme smutty thing, which I'm halfway through and eager to work on/finish. In addition to those, I have at least two non-smut (!!!) ideas that I've wanted to work on, but haven't had the time/motivation/confidence to do so. And don't even get me started on the comics!

Then there's Nanowrimo. If I choose to participate this year, it'll be my sixth time after five successful years. I do have a very vague idea of what I want to center this story around, but I purposefully haven't worked out a solid plot yet. I have so many fanfic and art ideas that I want to work on, but I'm not sure if I should just skip Nano this year or not. On the one hand, I would definitely miss that feeling of pressured motivation and being a part of the Nano community, and the happiness of having written a sixth book. At the same time, I'm definitely going to be busy this November with or without Nano, and I think I would prefer waiting until the time is right than having to give up in the middle of a story. It's not like Nano is going anywhere, and at this point I could just as easily set aside this particular story until next year, or whenever I feel like writing it. I also haven't edited or completely finished the last two books I did, so it would give me an opportunity to get at least one of them ready for self-publishing, instead of adding another project to the editing pile. If I decide not to Nano this time around, I will definitely set some kind of fanfic-related writing goal instead, at least for the practice. So do I skip Nano and focus on other writings, or should I at least make an attempt and drop it if it gets too much?

Oh, and there's also the USUK comm secret santa fanwork exchange. I totally wanna do it this year, but I'm also really intimidated by the thought of directly making something for someone else without knowing what I'm getting into first. I just hate disappointing people. ;_;

That's what I've been waffling about to myself for a while. SO, WHAT DO YOU THINK??

And thanks to my own flagrant stupidity, I have an insane amount of reading and drawing to do over the next two days. Whoop whoop.
