Colors and Light

Hurts brain

Wow...both shows were excellent. It was SO WORTH the stress of this past week (and it was great to get to hang out with Nell!). SFA was awesome...and the opening bands for SFA did a great job, I think. At the SFA show, Nell and I were at the very front, which actually made my back hurt because I was looking up the whole time. Gruff sang so well...I was impressed. They did nearly all of my favorites, and some other songs that I am less familiar with, but were great nonetheless. At the end of this show and Saturday's show, my feet were virtually unresponsive. I mean, that's an awful lot of weight for my poor feet to carry for upwards of 3 hours. Anyways, it was a terrific show and...whooo!!

Then, on Saturday, we saw the Decemberists. I almost didn't get to go because my Uncle's back and legs hurt and we didn't know if there'd be a place to sit at the venue, but it all worked out in the end, thankfully. The only bad thing this time (apart from the foot pains) was that I forgot my camera in the car. Grrrrraaaaawrrr! Stupid Roxie. Again, the opening bands did a great job, and the Decemberists were just amazing. The highlights of the show were definitely Chimbley Sweep and I Was Meant for the Stage. Chimbley Sweep because there was this awesome dueling...guitar thang that they did in the middle, and Meant for the Stage because it was the last song and they kinda went insane at the end. Good times. But really, I am so, so glad that I got to go. Awesome.

All of that being said, this next week is gonna be shit. Fffttt, whatever.
