My brain is sloshing around and stuff

I can hear myself thinking. Just so you know, that's not a song reference. Oh wait, it is! Hah, I just noticed that. Obviously, I'm still sick, but I think I'm getting better. Maybe that's because I'm sick and delirious (Gah, I almost wrote "delicious"). Just one more week of waiting. Today is the last day that Steve is playing with the Lips!! Let's wish them all a good time during their break. The FLips are playing a special New Years thing with the White Stripes. Yay! That'll be fun for the whole family.

A fun excerpt from Kliph[current Lips drummer]'s diary entry for today (the 9th):
"Well, I hear a duet of Steven and Steve Burns doing 'Faithfully' by Journey coming from the dressing room and I want to go investigate. Yes, it sounds as horrible as you would imagine. Steven still hasn't fully gotten his voice back from his round of being sick. I'll talk to you guys soon."

Toodles.

Hey, this is Nell from Nellmedia.com. Thanks for joining all those fanlistings and signing my guestbook. You have awesome taste and I want to hug your user icon collection. The Steve-dance rocks my socks. How's it going?

I'm okay. Gettin' over a cold.
Oooh, I've met Jhonen too! He did a sketch of Happy Noodle Boy for me and signed my Fillerbunny & my Squeaky doll. <3

You, my friend, are the one with awesome taste. I love your site and the fanlistings. The layouts are awesome. You're an artist, right? Did you see the Lips picture I drew for my yearbook? I posted it on the 3rd of November. I'd love your opinion.

p.s.
I dig your band.

I have a cold too. ::sniff cough:: Jhonen drew me a flying piggy. I gave him a copy of my first complete comic book "Bowling Babe" the first of the two times I met him. He held a panel at the convention (Alternative Press Expo) with a Q&A and stuff, it was awesome. My friend asked him a stupid question. Where'd you meet him?

Thank for your compliments, I'm so glad you like all my stuff! Yes, I am an artist and I have a newly updated (though not complete) art gallery on my main nellmedia.com page.

Your Lips picture is great! Everything is really well proportioned. It might benefit from more contrast in darks and lights, or being rendered in ink. Do you do a lot of art?

Hmmm...I think it was the Comic Con 2001 in San Diego. Do you know who Rikki Simons is? Or Roman Dirge? They're both comic artists [and friends of Jhonen (Rikki does the voice of GIR)]. They signed stuff for me as well. Good times.

I don't draw as often as I used to (but I have gotten better), and I still have a great deal to learn when it comes to shading. Glad you like it! *scurries off to watch strangers with candy before bed-time*

G-night!

Yeah, I didn't meet Rikki or Roman. I met a buncha other people from SLG and other companies. Wow, San Diego comic con! Hard core, man!

I too have the Strangers With Candy DVD. Do you like Kids in the Hall?

I just got the season 2 DVD last Friday (and I got the 1st one yesterday). I never had the chance to see the more old school Comedy Central shows cause my Grandma wouldn't let me watch Comedy Central until a year ago. I'm so glad that they're releasing these shows now. Mmmmyay!
